DJ Allan Cross
Major
The journey of DJ Services Cornwall began with Allan retiring from completing his career serving in the Army. He served in both The Royal Corps of Transport and The Royal Logistics Corps, from where he has on-field problem solving, team coordination, and management skills that makes us pioneer in our industry!
“Improvise, Adapt and Overcome” was what Allan learnt in his years of service before retiring as a Late Entry Major. And now, he’s thriving in the Corporate Hospitality Environment thanks to the principles instilled in him!
Event Manager
Next, Allan utilised all these skills and experience by moving into Events Management and established NWF Events in 2006. NWF Events masterminded and delivered the first-ever National Windsurfing Festival in conjunction with Fat Face as a sponsor.
Four years later, Allan remodelled the festival to encompass SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding), Kayaking and Kitesurfing, and Windsurfing, giving rise to the National Watersports Festival (NWF).
Before Allan decided to move on after it’s 13th year, the NWF became the 2nd largest mass participation, multi-disciplinary watersports festival in Europe. Yet, despite its size, Allan was leading all the aspects of event management, including marketing, sponsorship, health and safety and obviously, the music!
In addition to the NWF, Allan successfully delivered the Clacton Sea & Beach Festival 2016, which attracted 50k footfall! Having driven over 25,000 miles around the country, delivering all types of major events, Allan has decided to start working closer to home on a new venture and passion!
With his extensive experience, he aspires to make your events in the southwest worth it!

“My true passion and pleasure come from music. Both myself and my wife Linda have vast experience within the hospitality and customer service industries. So it made perfect sense to put our joint experience to good use. That is how DJ Services Cornwall was born. We utilise many years of event management to deliver a personal & special experience to our customers.”

DJ Leon
Leon’s Background
Leon and Al met on the DJ circuit and became fans of each other style, subsequently becoming friends and deciding to work together full time. Working with a partner in the world of wedding DJs requires skill, great communication, commitment and ability to work under pressure. It was these facets, among Leon’s many other qualities, that lead them from friends in the DJ world to Al and Leon working together as a professional partnership.
Leon has now been working for 6 years as a Wedding DJ and has accrued numerous music miles and the experience attained from over 400 gigs. He likes to operate on intuition and considers one of the most important skills of a DJ is to read the mood of the evening and to treat each evening as unique. When asked to describe his style in a few words, Cornwall DJ Leon describes his style as: fun, relaxed, chilled and loud!
It’s safe to say, Leon and Al have a great energy. This quote from Leon about Al just about says it all:
“Where do I start? Allan is great to work with. He has very high expectations and always wants to deliver that little bit more. The fact that he pushes you to improve and to develop your skills. But also up for a laugh and never too serious. If it weren’t for Allan I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
