On February 17th I went to see my friend Jules Hayden at one of the biggest wedding fairs in Cornwall. Wadebridge precisely. I wanted Jules to show me around and help me find out more about why wedding fairs are so useful for couples. I was also hoping to get myself a slot. Maybe she could even give me a few pointers about the latest trends in 2019? Who knows, but I can honestly say I was not disappointed.

Wedding Fairs – More than just the hype

In the wedding fair calendar, this was the first of the year in Cornwall and notable for its energy and buzz. Jules, a Cornish local and business owner, runs the show with her husband Martin and has over 4 years experience in Wedding planning and running events of this scale. Despite her extremely professional attitude she shows huge empathy and passion for what she is doing.

Planning for possibly the biggest day of your life is a huge task and can be exhausting and daunting. Wedding Fairs provide couples with the opportunity to piece together the wedding plan jigsaw by getting face to face with business owners and wedding enthusiasts who spend their life pouring ideas in to weddings.

From all the couples I spoke with at the event, they found all the ideas and opportunities extremely helpful for planning their big day. When I got married this was not something that crossed my mind but I can see the benefits. It provides you with access to everyone you need to make your day special plus it’s great for building excitement and buzz. Let’s face it, a wedding is not just about the day – it’s about the build up, the event and the great memories for the rest of your life.

The Wedding Fair Calendar

Jules at the ‘Art of Weddings‘ organises six top quality events per year and the wedding fair events calendar is non-stop in Cornwall to the end of the year. These usually accommodate in excess of 65 suppliers. Throughout the year the suppliers and businesses present different looks and feels depending on the seasons. The big question is do you get married in Summer, Spring, Autumn or Winter? An equally difficult question to answer. Of course we’re very lucky in this country that we have the seasons as every one has its charm and beauty. The busier fairs seem to be in the autumn and winter months, which are usually the quieter months for suppliers.

7th July. Art of Weddings in Wadebridge.
19/20th October 2019. Art of Weddings in Wadebridge. A 2 day wedding fair. It will be the biggest fair seen in Cornwall with well in excess of 100 suppliers.
